
Students of the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Police Force, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dei-dei, Abuja, have been encouraged to harness their strengths and seize opportunities for career growth and innovation.
The event, held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, was convened by the Acting Centre Director, Dr. Ibrahim Muhammed Gaddafi, brought together students, business leaders, and industry experts to share strategies for career advancement, innovation, and self-reliance.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Gaddafi commended the resource persons and participants, describing the programme as a milestone in the centre’s mission to empower students for career and entrepreneurial success.
It was aimed at equipping students with skills to navigate today’s dynamic job market.
“This seminar has opened doors of opportunity for our students. It is our hope that they will take full advantage of the knowledge shared today to shape their future,” the director said.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Kennedy Osagie, Chief Executive Officer of the Automotive Nigeria Ltd., highlighted the role of innovation in career growth, and urged students to explore emerging sectors, particularly the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) industry, describing it as a fast-growing field with limitless opportunities.
“The future belongs to those who can turn ideas into solutions and opportunities into businesses,” Osagie told participants.
On her part, Ms. Susan Emmanuel, a representative of Channel Studios Ltd., emphasised on creativity and innovation as drivers of sustainable entrepreneurship.
She encouraged students to cultivate resilience and adaptability in order to thrive in competitive business environments.
Other speakers include representatives from Sterling Bank, Techville’s Mahmood Mustapha and Muzammil Mohammed, Fadile Omooluwa of Fadi Press, Lauretta Omezie, and Victoria Udoka, who shared insights on finance, technology, and enterprise management.
The seminar also provided a platform for students to interact with professionals, fostering mentorship and collaboration opportunities beyond the classroom.
