Professor Rotimi Ogidan has assumed office as the new Director of the Lagos Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), following a formal handover ceremony at the centre.
The ceremony marked the transfer of leadership from the outgoing Director, Professor Alero Akujobi, to Prof. Ogidan.
In her farewell remarks, Prof. Akujobi expressed appreciation to members of staff for their support, cooperation and positive collaboration throughout her tenure.
She urged staff to extend the same support and cooperation to her successor, stressing the importance of collective commitment to advancing the centre and achieving greater accomplishments.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Ogidan commended the outgoing Director for her dedication and contributions to the development of the Lagos Study Centre.
He pledged to build on the achievements recorded under her leadership and work collaboratively with staff to further strengthen the centre’s operations and fulfil its mandate.
The ceremony ended with goodwill messages and a renewed commitment by staff to ensuring a smooth transition and continued progress at the centre.
