APCON seeks collaboration with NOUN on training, curriculum development


The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) has sought for a partnership with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) on curriculum development and involvement of students’ training in the Mass Communication Department of the university.
APCON Registrar, Dr. Olalekan Fasholapo, said this when he led a 6-man delegation on a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, at the university headquarters in Abuja.
“Over the years, the National Open University of Nigeria has been an institution to people across all professions,” he said.

Director: Why Yola centre needs larger exam hall


The Director, Yola Study Centre, Mrs.Tiling Marlin Yelyel, has called on the management of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) to construct a larger multipurpose examination hall to enable the centre accommodate the increasing number of students’ population.

Yelyel made the call soon after relocating some students who could not find space at the auditorium in the ongoing 2021_1 POP examination to the facilitation rooms of the center.

Igwe monitors PoP exam in Port Harcourt


Former University Librarian of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Ukoha Igwe, has, on Friday, monitored the ongoing Pen-on-Paper examinations at the Port Harcourt Study Centre, Rivers State.

Receiving the visitor, the centre director, Prof. Eserinune McCarty Mojaye, expressed delight at Igwe's visit, whom he took round the exams halls where examinations were in progress.

Mojaye also took the former librarian on facility tour of the centre.

Aliede hosts Fugar Progressive Union officials


The centre director, Fugar Community Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria, Fugar, Edo State, Prof. Jonathan Aliede, on Tuesday hosted the officials of Fugar Progressive Union (FPU) in his office.

The president of the union, Dr. Richard Anetekhai, who led the delegation of the FPU officials to the study centre, said they were at the centre for an on-the-spot assessment of the needs and challenges of the study centre.
