NOUN's ACETEL set to begin internship programme for master's students

The Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL), a World Bank –assisted project in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), is set to commence the first phase of hands on experience skill acquisition training for its master's students.

The four-week training  will run from 26th July to 20th August 2021 for the first phase  while the second phase is expected to commence October 11th, 2021.

FG inaugurates NOUN Governing Council, 18 others

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, on Thursday July 15th, 2021 inaugurated the Governing Councils of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as well as other eighteen Federal Universities, and four Inter-University Centres.

The event, which took place at the National Universities Commission (NUC) auditorium in Abuja, also involved the public presentation of the new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo, Benue State.

New resource on ODL policy in the Commonwealth

COL has launched COLcommons.org, a brand-new platform with competency-based, professional development micro-courses. Complying with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the courses take a simple “tell and test” approach and use video and interactive quizzes to help learners study at their own pace and time.

E-exam monitoring: Kano, Dutse centres welcome Faculty of Social Sciences dean

The dean, Faculty of Social Sciences of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Dr. Moses Etila Shuaibu, has toured the Kano, Jigawa and Azare Study Centres where he monitored the ongoing 2021_1 e-examination.

Acting centre director of the Kano Study Centre, Mr. Mudassir Ahmad Ishaq, welcomed the dean and took him round the examination venues to see for himself how the centre has been managing the administration of the exercise.
