NOUN to Co-sponsor 3rd AIPHP Int’l Conference


The 3rd International Conference of the African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPHP) in collaboration with the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) will be holding 21st -23rd September, 2021 at the NOUN’s Convocation Arena, Abuja.

The theme of this year’s Conference is: Non –Communicable Disease in Africa: Challenges, Epidemiology prevention and Control.

RETRIDOL mulls furthering workshops to UniLag, IU


The National Open University of Nigeria, Regional Training and Research Institute for Distance and Open Learning (NOUN-RETRIDOL), is pondering on extending its capacity enhancement workshops to the University of Lagos’ Distance Learning Institute (DLI) and Igbinedion University’s Distance Learning Centre.

In a press release, dated 25th June, 2021 and signed by the Director, RETRIDOL, Prof. Patrick E. Eya, it said such workshops are hoped to be organised before the end of the current academic year.

Non-teaching staff to undergo training in Abuja


The university management has approved a 1-day training for all non-teaching staff of all the faculties in the university.

The in-house training, which is to be organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, will hold on Monday, July 5th, 2021 at the Ground Floor Conference Room, Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe building, university headquarters, Abuja.

Conference marking: Examiners, subject officers briefed in Kaduna


The Coordinator, Kaduna Conference Marking Centre, Prof. Juliet Inegbedion has earlier today briefed the congregation of examiners and subject officers who converged on Kaduna Study Centre for the 2021_1 Pen-on-Paper examination scripts marking.

Speaking at the venue of the exercise, Inegbedion stated that she officially resumed the exercise since 21st of June, 2021 to receive and ensure that the inventories of the scripts were in order.

Okagbare visits Port Harcourt centre, decries poor ventilation in exam halls


The director, Learners Support Services (LSS), National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Gregory Okagbare, on Monday, visited Port Harcourt Study Centre of the university in Rivers State, to monitor the ongoing e-examination.

Okagbare, who arrived the centre within the period of the first session of examination for the day, was heartily received by the centre director, Prof. Eserinune McCarty Mojaye and members of staff of the centre.

E-exam commences nationwide


Students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) have commenced their 2021_1 e-examination exercise nationwide.

The examination, being held simultaneously at the 103 study centres across the six geopolitical zones of the country, kicked off on Monday morning.

The exercise started this morning following the conclusion of the Pen-on-Paper examination, which ended last Thursday nationwide as well.

Prof. Osuji briefs subject officers, examiners at Enugu


The Coordinator of the 2021_1 Conference Marking in the South-east geopolitical zone and Dean, Faculty of Education, NOUN, Prof. Uchenna Sydney Ajunwa Osuji, has said the 2021_1 exercise is a task force assignment scheduled for completion within the time frame.

He disclosed this while briefing the subject officers drawn from the eight faculties of the institution at Enugu Study Centre, Enugu State.
