Ado-Ekiti Study Centre takes advocacy to Nigeria Correctional Service

The Director, Ado-Ekiti Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Adejoro Mustapha and his team have taken the centre’s advocacy campaign to the Nigeria Correctional Service in the state.

The state’s comptroller, Mr. Ojo Joseph Olu, alongside other officers of the service, welcomed the visiting NOUN team on 23 September, 2021 at their office.

North-east incubation centres sensitise students on GST302

Students across the North-east study centres of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) have been sensitised and guided through the processes of Business Creation and Growth (GST302) course.

The two Coordinators of the North-east Incubation Centre 1, Maiduguri and North-east Incubation Centre, Bogoro had, at different schedules within the week, engaged students and explained the imperative of the course via zoom.

Ikoyi Passport Office welcomes Lagos centre on advocacy visit

The Director, Lagos Study Centre, Dr. (Mrs.) Alero Akujobi, has led a powerful advocacy team on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Comptroller, CPO A.I Liman and officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Ikoyi Passport Office as part of the centre's routine activities to promote the university’s operations.

Akujobi stated that the purpose of the visit was to sensitise the immigration officers on the mode of operations and the academic programmes currently being run in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

DEA: Akper passes the torch on to Ojo

The immediate-past Director, Directorate of Examinations and Assessment (DEA) of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Godwin Akper has formally handed over the affairs of the directorate to his successor, Prof. Olugbenga Ojo.

Akper, in a brief ceremony held on 16 September, 2021, thanked the university for giving him the opportunity to serve as the DEA director, where he also appreciated the experience gained therefrom.

‘Why NOUN needs a lot of media campaign in Rivers State’

The programme manager of Cool FM, an independent radio station in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mr. Carl Orakwue, has said the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) needs an intensive media campaign in the state.

Orakwue made the statement when he and his counterpart at Wazobia FM, Mr. China Acheru, received the advocacy team of the Port Harcourt Study Centre of NOUN at the Radio Complex in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, 21 September, 2021.
