ACETEL, DSTN to hold On-line and Blended Learning workshop


The National Open University of Nigeria, African Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (NOUN’s-ACETEL), and the Digital Science and Technology Network (DSTN) will jointly hold a 3-day workshop on On-line and Blended Learning.

The training, which is going to be virtual, is slated to hold between Tuesday 26th -  Thursday 28th October, 2021, from 10am-2pm.

Excitement as Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre partake in maiden Matriculation Ceremony


The Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre, Abia State of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has marked an epoch-making event when it participated in its maiden Matriculation Ceremony on Saturday, 23 October, 2021.

The virtual event, the university's 21st, was the first time the young study centre participated alongside other 103 centres nationwide. 

Your welfare, satisfaction paramount to us, NOUN vice-chancellor tells 14,953 matriculating students


Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Olufemi A. Peters, has said that the welfare and satisfaction of students are of utmost priority to his administration.

Peters stated this in Abuja during the 21st Matriculation Ceremony for the students of the university held on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

The event was witnessed through a virtual link across the 103 study centres of the university in the country in compliance with the COVID-19 protocol.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and Management of the National Open University of Nigeria, I welcome you all wholeheartedly to the 2021_2 Matriculation ceremony of our fresh students. This occasion, though a routine that over the years appear to be losing its significance, is unique and will continue to be inspiring because it remains a statutory gathering to formally admit deserving and qualified candidates who are fortunate to be offered admission into higher education.

New students get orientation at Mushin Study Centre


The Mushin Study Centre of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Lagos State, has organised a physical orientation programme for the centre’s fresh students.

The programme, which was held on Thursday 20th October 2021, was also a familiarisation exercise to get new students acquainted with the learning activities and the environment during their stay in the university.

Yola Study Centre organises SIWES orientation exercise for students


The management of Yola Study Centre, Adamawa State, led by the centre director, Mrs. Tiling Yelyel, on Saturday, 22 October 2021, hosted students of the centre to Students' Industrial Work Experience (SIWES) orientation exercise.

In her welcoming address, Yelyel, who received the SIWES officials, informed  students that SIWES is designed to prepare students for the work situation they are likely to meet after graduation.

Iwo Community Study Centre organises orientation for new students


Iwo Community Study Center of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Osun State, has held a physical orientation programme for new students.

The orientation programme, held on Wednesday, 20th of October 2021, was geared towards acquainting the new intakes with the activities of the university and how to seamlessly go through their studies.

At the same time, the stuudents were briefed about semester, course and examination registration processes and also the formal examination rules and regulations to adhere to.
