Jubilation as Asaga-Ohafia, Isulo centres host first examinations


The Asaga-Ohafia Community Study Centre, Ohafia Local Government Area, Abia State and Isulo Community Study Centre, Orumba-North Local Government of Anambra State have successfully hosted their respective maiden Pen-On-Paper (POP) examinations, which kicked off across the centres of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

The exercise, which commenced on Tuesday, 9th November 2021, was the first of its kind each of the centres hosted within their domain since their inceptions.

NOUN’s 2021_2 PoP examination flags off nationwide


The 2021_2 Pen-on-Paper (PoP) examination of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has commenced this Tuesday at all the 103 study centres across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

The examination, which is meant to evaluate the learning achievements of 300 level students and above of the West Africa’s foremost Open and Distance Learning (ODL) university, will run for the next three weeks and end on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Kaduna INEC commissioner hosts NOUN team


The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Kaduna State, Hajiya Asama'u Sabo Maikudi, has on 4th November, 2021 played host to a high-powered delegation from the National Open University of Nigeria on a courtesy visit. 

The delegation, drawn from Kaduna Study Centre, Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Centre for Human Resource Development, was led by Dr. Aminu Umar, director of the study centre.

NOUN hosts maiden Public Administration Practitioners’ confab


The Public Administration Practitioners in Nigerian Universities, have held their first national conference with a focus on the inter-dependence of good governance, public sector management and sustainable development.

The body, which used to be part of the traditional political science space, has recently carved a niche for themselves by breaking out and establishing their forum called: “The Public Administration Theories and Practice Forum of Nigeria.”
